A Revolutionary Wireless Reading Device Like The Kindle Digital eBook Reader, Is Not Just A Story Book Reader
So in February Amazon finally introduced their Revolutionary Wireless Reading Device, an improved version of the surprisingly popular Kindle digital ebook reader with extra and improved features like a far thinner design, upgraded battery with longer use between charges and expanded memory capability making it more than just any old story book reader.
The online retailer, based in Seattle, decided to release the new Kindle digital ebook reader with the same price tag of $359 as their original story book reader. A smart move as the two versions of digital book readers are chalk and cheese and the price point offers great value to purchasers of the vastly improved new digital ebook reader.
Measuring in at a meagre 0.36 inches thin, that’s just 9 millimeters for the converted, the new Kindle digital ebook reader is only half the thickness of the old version and weighs in lighter than your normal paperback book, making it ideal for carrying around with you when on the move.
The battery has undergone an upgrade, resulting in a charge life 25% longer than the original Kindle, so now users of Digital Book Readers can expect to read for four or five days from one single re-charge with the wireless facility enabled and with wireless turned off the battery charge will last a staggering two weeks.
The improved memory capacity of 2 gig gives the Kindle digital ebook reader the ability to store in excess of 1,500 full length novels, this compares with only 200 the first Kindle ebook readers was able to hold.
The Kindle Digital eBook Reader now gives users a read to me capability that converts the text on the novel’s pages into spoken words for them to listen to. Not only that, they can decide if they want to be read to by a man or a woman. In addition to that, they can also alter speed settings to suit their preferred listening style. You can now see why this digital ebook reader is no simple story book reader and is often referred to as the revolutionary wireless reading device.
At the the new Kindle digital eBook readers launch, Jeff Bezos, founder and C.E.O of Amazon, said “The new Kindle digital book readers are everything customers tell us they love about the original Kindle digital ebook readers, but thinner, faster, crisper, with longer battery life, and capable of holding hundreds more books.”
“If you feel the need, the Kindle digital ebook reader can now even read for you — a new feature we have included and something that a book could never do,” he added.
When they launched the new Kindle eBook Reader, the company informed the press that the U.S. writer of horror novels, Stephen King, would be releasing a novella, “Ur”, that would only be available to read via the new Kindle Digital eBook Reader. Industry analysts have predicted that this will become the trend in future as the industry starts to embrace this new media.
As a foot note, the first Kindle digital eBook reader was launched in November 2007, and although it ammounted to little more than a story book reader, it proved to be very popular with the American public. Just how popular we may never exactly know as Amazon has never released any sales figures, but some analysts have guesstimated that in 2008 alone, Amazon sold in the region of 500,000 of these Kindle Digital Book Readers, which if correct is a figure far higher than expected.
With the vastly improved New Kindle Digital eBook Reader, now let loose on the market, expect the Kindle Digital Book Readers sales figures to explode as this little beauty is not just a Story Book Reader but a fully fledged revolutionary wireless reading device.
