Can I torrent e-books for my Kobo?
I just bought a kobo and i was looking on thepiratebay torrent site and i was wondering if i downloaded a torrent ebook on a torrent site onto frostwire then could i put it on my e-reader kobo?
Yes. This is one of my primary reasons for buying a Kobo along with price and size. As long as the books you download are in the Epub format you shouldn’t have any issues. The cool thing about the Kobo is that you can add books directly onto the device without using any special software. It can handle PDF formats as well but they are a little clunky to work with and view.
Also you can take any ebook format and convert it to Epub using a nice little program called Calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/). Kobo is pretty new but I am betting there will be some nice Calibre templates for Kobo soon.
Just a side note. Making a living as an author is tough. Don’t steal from them. Unlike the Movie and Music industry who have advertising, live shows, theater sales etc to make money authors rely on you to buy their books.
