firewalls and proxy settings?
I’m having difficulties connecting to servers, I’m new to computers and need assistance.
eg:
google earth initializes and say’s can’t connect to server, run test, them say’s could be firewall or proxy.
Also a “Ebook pro viewer” I downloaded to info but need to register, but again say’s cannot connect to server.
please tell me “step by step ” how to adjust my setting.
I can browse the internet ok.

You need to tell us what Windows you are using (eg XP or Vista) and if you have a non-Windows Firewall like Zone Alarm.
