File Download problem MP3 and RapidShare?
New Toshiba laptop, OS = Vista, using RAR to compress files. (www.buyrar.com) is a new problem, never exp. it on old IBM 600E laptop that had XP on it.
It is taking me 3 to 7 attempts to download files often,(sometimes I get it the first attempt, such as MP3,or ebook PDF, files. get the link, save, open, etc.. select save, downloading starts and , often at about 70% of the file downloaded then it just sits there and it will stay like that. (I have left it there for over an hour) yet it says/ shows the download is in progress, amount of time remaining, file going from the spinning earth flying over to a file folder.
It is obvious has stopped downloading yet get no connection lost msg or anything. Is this a Vista, prob, or Toshiba software/hardware, prob? I am wireless in the home. I can still use old laptop and prob. does not exist with it.Your help is appreciated.
